  Anyone ever get blow back for owning and riding a motorcycle?

  my wife's family rode motorcycles all their life.

  her grandfather was an elder.

  i was told by some dubbers that it was not christian to use a motorcycle.

  I think this may be a country thing. Here in the UK it has never been a problem for me, I have been a biker all my life. I still know elders who ride bikes, one has a Hyabusa, BMW S100RR, etc. Many others including mine which I will not list as it could ID me/them.

  I remember one brother who came to the meeting on his bike, brought his suit to change into from his leathers but forgot his shoes. All through his talk people were looking at his boots squeezed under his suit trousers.

  I must say I don't know anyone who rides a Harley however. They're such bad taste...….

  I have just watched this, very good programme. I doubt it will awaken many JW's but may well do good to outsiders.

  It also explains why the Charity Commission registration for each congregation is being dropped.

  Once this new arrangement has been implemented removing all the congregations as registered charities the CC will have no jurisdiction whatever. I wonder if this is one of the reasons for the move. The WT Society of Britain will claim all the tax refunds etc.

  Sad to say this programme with Victoria Derbyshire is being axed as part of the BBC cost cutting exercise. More likely a case she has asked a few too many pointed questions over the years.

  Special meeting next month (February 2020)

  it was announced today that we will have a special weekend meeting next month.

  it will be 3 hours long and will include some streamed content.. no explanation was given as to what the meeting will be about, only that it will be exciting and we will not want to miss it..

  Here in the UK we have our meeting on Saturday 23 May 2020. We have these every couple of years or so with a US visitor. All connected to Chelmsford or London or wherever.

  The rep this year is William Turner, whoever that is.

  I understand that most congregations signed over their KH to the KHT back in about 2014. That is how they are able to sell off KH's and combine congregations already. This is about getting the last bit of cash and removing any prying eyes in the Charity Commission.

  What will happen in Scotland where congregations are not registered with the Charity Commission?

  i have heard from a reliable source that the witchpower libel and crap society with it's governing body stands unified by a 5 year plan to introduce what they call "pure language".the rank and file have accepted saying there is room for improvement in our language:in the first year, "s" will be used instead of the soft "c".

  sertainly obedient servants of god's people will reseive this news with joy.

  also the hard "c" will be replaced with "k".

  Many a true word spoken in jest.

  Back in the 1940's Freddie Franz wanted to introduce a "Theocratic Calendar" that did not use the names of Greek Gods etc.

  Here in England we already see enough so called "English" from the US. They cannot even supply a Bible in UK English, though they can manage Welsh literature for the half dozen Welsh language fanatics that reckon they cannot speak English.

  Many English scientific journals now use the US Sulfur instead of Sulphur, my GP prescribes Ferrous Sulfate these days. When I mentioned it to him he said "I just click the drop down George, no idea how it should be spelled!"

  during gerrit loesch's talk just released, he goes on a long list of the false end times predictions throughout the millennia.

  i didn't expect it, but then he goes into the precursors to the bible students who, when their dates failed, changed christ's presence to have happened 'invisibly'.

  then it goes right into the jws, and he reads the quote from millions now living will never die about how we can 'confidently expect' the resurrection in 1925, and then the life everlasting book that predicted 1975. of course, he doesn't say how it's still going on, namely with the overlapping generation and its' accompanying convoluted chart, but still, this is more than they've ever said on the subject, especially recently.. it almost sounds like a forced statement, to address any backlash from people reading 'apostate lies' online, because he also says how the gb 'humbly' admitted mistakes, referencing the non-apology after 1975 that disturbed raymond franz.
